Travelling the Worlds Greens – Best Destinations to go for Golfing in Europe, Where to go

Watching the majors on the television whether the European or the US circuit, there is no denying that the greens look amazing. As golf’s global appeal increases it is true to say that the quality of the courses is ever improving which means that it is possible for the golfing tourist to play on the kind of greens that would normally be associated with the professional game.

For those who love golf Europe is one of the world’s top destinations. Scotland, of course, is the home of golf so there are plenty of opportunities to play golf in Scotland on some top greens there. Ireland also has some exceptional courses including Ballybunion, Portmarnock, Waterville and Royal Portrush.

For those who prefer to play their golf in warmer climes, golf in Spain and Portugal are perfect for the keen golfer. In addition, there are always golf offers to be had on many of the courses. The Penha Longa Golf Club is a fine example of a quality Portuguese golf course.

Over in Spain the Jack Nicklaus designed Montecastillo Golf Club is rightly famed for both its greens and its settings, as is Valderrama Golf Club which is considered to be one of Europe’s best courses. However, golf holidays are increasing in popularity throughout Europe and there are a whole range of golf offers for those looking for some of the great golf Europe has to offer.

When looking for golf Europe isn’t the only option. Asia’s popularity is growing on the golf circuit. Many players now head for the greens of Dubai and Dubai Golf is particularly popular though there are many other courses throughout the emirates.

Golf courses in Thailand are also popular and with its competitive prices has some of the best golf offers available. Singapore and Malaysia have established courses with some impressive greens and both China and Vietnam are improving upon the facilities available there.

Australia and the US are unsurprisingly also fabulous golfing destinations. The US, of course, has some of the finest greens in the world. Surfside Golf Club in Washington State is a particularly renowned course with enviable greens, as is Cypress Point Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California.

These are just two amongst many and both Florida and Arizona are popular for golf tourists though the quality of the courses and greens is exceptional throughout the States. Australia is another well-established golfing destination with a large number of fine courses including the Royal Melbourne, the Royal Adelaide and the Royal Sydney.

For the golf lover it is now easy to travel pretty much anywhere in the world and find some great greens on beautiful courses. There are a huge number of golf offers allowing golfers to experience some of the world’s best golf courses first hand and find their own particular favourite greenest greens.
