Main Reason Why UK Banned Flights From UAE

With the need to stop the spread of the new virus strain discovered in South Africa, the United Kingdom decided to bar all direct flights from the United Arab Emirates.

The decision left one of the world’s busiest international flight routes on its knees. Travelers from UAE, Burundi, and notable Rwanda are not allowed into the nation.

The travel ban is meant to curb the widespread of South Africa’s new variant. It is suspected that this virus had spread to the above-mentioned countries.

All British, Irish nationals, and third-country citizens with residence rights returning to the country can enter the UK but are required to self-isolate in their homes for ten days.

According to the flight bookings specialists OAG, Dubai-London Heathrow has been the busiest international passenger route in the past months. The block inserted is most likely to affect it heavily.

Adding to the five daily flights to London Heathrow, Emirates operated 10 flights a week to Manchester and daily flights to Glasgow and Birmingham.

The state news agency WAM said that all British tourists currently in the UAE will have their visas extended free of charge.

Multiple tourists and celebrities are enjoying the unending charms in this Persian Gulf country while the UK remains under lock-down. The beaches and nightlife are all rewarding.

The UAE is battling a rise in infections but continues to be a paramount hub for travel and logistics. The nation is taking a further step to do mass testing and vaccination to combat the virus.

Dubai, one of the world’s most visit places reopened for tourists in July with tight SOPs put in place.

Social distancing and wearing a face mask are emphasized. Right now bars, hotels, restaurants, and beaches are still operating.
