The cost to rent a car only is 45 USD for a Rav 4 per day. The Land cruiser Prado is 65 USD every day and the Toyota Noah 50 US dollars per day. If it includes a driver, you pay an extra fee of 40 USD daily. This money mainly caters for his accommodation, meals and commission.
How to use the car
Once the car is handed over, it is for you to use for the specific rental period starting from day one up to the ending date. Be sure to use it mainly for the specified purpose. Cars provided are not allowed to be used for other purposes like motor racing, transportation of goods, construction materials and passengers, towing other vehicles and more. You are free to drive from 6:00 AM in the morning and end at 7:00 PM in the evening. No driving at night. You are responsible to take care of the vehicle and keep it in a safe parking area.
Who handles the damages?
Damages caused due to reckless driving are repaired by the hirer. These include body scratches, breaking of the mirrors, damages to the lights, passing through deep waters and wetlands which can cause problems to the engine and more. All penalty tickets issued due to over speeding are cleared by the hirer. So, you have to be careful with the car and avoid over speeding or driving while talking on phone.
Traffic rules in Uganda
In Uganda, all motorists keep left and you must have a valid driving license for you to drive. You are not allowed to over speed and over load the car. There are always traffic officers along the highways who stop those violating the traffic rules and when you are found doing so, you receive penalties.
